Bio

Jennifer Pohlman joined the IU Southeast sports medicine team as the assistant athletic trainer in the fall of 2021.

She most recently completed her Master of Science in Kinesiology with emphasis in Athletic Training degree from Indiana University in 2021 where she was the graduate assistant athletic trainer for the Contemporary Dance, Jacob’s School of Music, and the Marching Hundred programs.

In 2018, she received her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and minor in Biology from Clarke University where she was a member of the women’s volleyball team in the 2014-2015 season. Prior to Clarke University, she completed 2 years at University of Dubuque where she was a member of the women’s volleyball, women’s softball, and indoor track and field teams.

Other job experience has included working as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Colts Drum & Bugle Corps over the 2018, 2019, and 2021 seasons, as well as an intern athletic trainer for Barton College working with men’s and women’s track and field/tennis/and swimming programs in 2019.

Jennifer is a native of West Branch, Iowa but currently resides in Louisville, Kentucky. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, trying new foods, cuddling her dog Bella, and teach group exercise classes.
