
BETHEL DEFEATS IU SOUTHEAST 83-70
NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The IU Southeast men's basketball team fell 83-70 to Bethel University on Wednesday.
Glenn Hill had a game-high 28 points and 14 rebounds. Jared Osborne had 12 points and Anthony Wales Jr added 11 points in the contest.
IU Southeast jumped out to a 10-5 lead early in the contest, but Bethel responded to take an 11-10 lead. After IU Southeast jumped out in front 14-13, Bethel answered with a 17-2 run to take a 30-16 lead. Bethel maintained a double-digit advantage for the remainder of the half, extending their lead to as many as 23. Bethel took a 48-35 lead into halftime.
Glenn Hill had 14 points and seven rebounds in the first half. Anthony Wales Jr and Gabriel Casillas Cruz had seven points apiece.
The second half was dominated by Bethel, as they held a double-digit lead for all 20 minutes after halftime. IU Southeast tried to fight back, but time after time Bethel would thwart the Grenadier runs. Bethel went on to win 83-70.

The Grenadiers shot 48.3 percent from the field but struggled from both the three-point and free throw lines. Bethel scored 22 points on 22 Grenadier turnovers and outscored IU Southeast's bench 26-7.
IU Southeast returns to action on Thursday, January 6th at West Virginia Institute of Technology.
