GRENADIERS CRUISE PAST CELTICS 105-89

NEW ALBANY, Ind. – Every Grenadier scored and the team combined to shoot 50 percent from the field and 41 percent from three-point range as IU Southeast defeated Carlow 105-89 on Saturday, the fourth-straight win for IU Southeast.

Jathan Ritter had a career-high 23 points on 9-of-13 from the field to lead IU Southeast. He was also 5-of-8 from three-point range. Jared Osborne had 15 points, Ahmad Price and Glenn Hill Jr each added 14 and Gabriel Casillas Cruz had 10 points and seven rebounds in the win.

The Grenadiers trailed 19-15 seven minutes into the contest but Ritter gave the Grenadiers the lead with a three-pointer. The lead would seesaw back-and-forth until layups by Caleb Brown and Jomar Sullivan put the Grenadiers up 33-30.

Jared Osborne sparked a 23-8 run to pull away late in the half when he hit a three-pointer and a jump shot on back-to-back possessions.

IU Southeast led 54-43 at halftime. Jathan Ritter had 12 points and Glenn Hill Jr. added 10 in the first half.

Early in the second half, Carlow cut the deficit to 59-48 but the Grenadiers shut down the comeback attempt at that point.

IU Southeast forced 12 turnovers in the second half to help them extend their lead to as many as 27 points in the contest.

The Grenadiers scored 25 points off of turnovers in the game and their bench, led by Ritter, was dominant as IU Southeast outscored Carlow 46-8.

IU Southeast travels to Alice Lloyd College Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
