IU SOUTHEAST CRUISES TO 100-58 WIN OVER ST. MARY-OF-THE-WOODS ON SENIOR DAY

NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The IU Southeast men's basketball team rolled to a 100-58 win over St- Mary-of-the-Woods on Senior Day, marking their eighth straight victory.

Glenn Hill led the Grenadiers in scoring with 19 points. Jared Osborne, the only senior on the team, scored 13 points and dished out seven assists in his last regular season home game. Ahmad PriceGabriel Casillas Cruz and Jaren Starks all scored 13 points apiece.

IU Southeast (14-14, 11-5 RSC) started the game on a 24-3 run. The Grenadiers continued the offensive onslaught, using a 10-0 run later in the half to take a commanding 41-10 lead. IU Southeast went into halftime with a 50-18 advantage, leading for 19 of the 20 first half minutes.

The Grenadiers shot 64.7 percent in the first half, hitting 22 of their 34 shots. Glenn Hill scored 13 points in the first half, hitting five of his six shots. Anthony Wales Jr. and Ahmad Price each had seven points apiece. IU Southeast held SMWC to only 25 percent shooting before halftime.

The second half was much like the first. The Grenadier lead was never less than 28 after halftime. Leading 74-48, the Grenadiers used an 18-0 run on six made three pointers to extend their lead to 44.

With three minutes remaining, Coach Wiley Brown took fifth year senior Jared Osborne out of the game. Osborne, the lone senior on the men's basketball team, was greeted with a standing ovation by his teammates and the crowd as he exited the IU Southeast court in his final regular season home game.

The Grenadiers led by as many as 45 in the contest, winning 100-58 for their eighth straight victory. IU Southeast shot 56.3 percent from the field in the contest, connecting on 15 of their 33 three-point attempts. The Grenadiers had 27 assists on 40 made field goals. IU Southeast held SMWC to 39.7 percent from the field and 38.9 percent from three-point range.

The Grenadiers head to IU Kokomo for a conference showdown on Tuesday.
