RSC M+W Tennis Championships: April 28-29 at Evansville, Ind.
EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- The 2023 River States Conference Men's & Women's Tennis Championships are set for Friday-Saturday, April 28-29 in Evansville, Ind. Six women's teams and five men's teams are in the championship brackets at the Wesselman Tennis Center.
Friday, April 28 will feature the quarterfinals and semifinals while the championship finals will be on Saturday, April 29 for both men and women. A backup rain location will be the Evansville Tennis Center. Live Scoring will be provided with a link posted here when available.
An awards ceremony for all-conference recognitions and special awards will take place on Thursday, April 27 at 7:00 p.m. at the championship facility.
WOMEN'S DRAW
No. 1 seed Oakland City (Ind.) put together a perfect conference record of 5-0 to claim the top seed. The Mighty Oaks have a bye into the semifinals and will play the winner of the quarterfinal matchup between No. 4 IU Kokomo (2-3 RSC) and No. 5 IU Southeast (1-4 RSC). Midway (Ky.) took the No. 2 seed with a 4-1 RSC record. The Eagles also have a bye to the semifinals and will await the winner of No. 3 IU East (3-2 RSC) and No. 5 Brescia (0-5 RSC) in the quarterfinals.
MEN'S DRAW
No. 1 seed Oakland City (Ind.) is ranked No. 25 nationally in the NAIA. The Mighty Oaks were 4-0 RSC this year to snag the top seed. Oakland City awaits in the semifinals to face the winner of the quarterfinal matchup of No. 4 IU Southeast (1-3 RSC) vs. No. 5 Brescia (Ky.) (1-3 RSC). No. 2 seed Midway (Ky.) went 3-1 in the RSC and takes on No. 3 IU East (1-3 RSC) in the other semifinals matchup.
