
GRENADIER TENNIS COMPLETES SUCCESSFUL WEEKEND AT RSC FALL INVITATIONAL
NEW ALBANY, Ind. - The IU Southeast tennis teams capped off a succesful weekend hosting the 2021 RSC Fall Tennis Invitational by winning three flights during the tournament.
Freshman Brent Reynolds was the only Grenadier to win his flight at the #3 singles position defeating Oakland City in the finals. IUS men finished in the top three in 7 out of the 8 draws they competed in. Caleb Harris finished 3rd in the #1 singles flight while Connor Mason and Eli Franks each finished runner-up at flights #2 and #4. Cade Burman won his final two matches 6-0, 6-0 without dropping a game at the #5. The Grenadiers finished runner-up at both #1 and #3 doubles.
Audrey De Witt won the #1 singles flight for the second year in a row and Audrey and Adalyn De Witt also won the #1 doubles flight for a second year in a row. Kate Heuchan and Katie Weimer placed 2nd in the #2 doubles flight. Anna Littlefield lost a close three set match in the finals of the #3 singles flight losing 4-6, 6-1, 10-4 to IUE. Katie Weimer and Kate Heuchan each finished runner-up making it to their respective finals before falling to IUE. Emma Ellis finished 3rd in the 6th flight while Sarah VanIsenberg won her final two matches in straight sets.
