RICHMOND, Ind. - The IU Southeast volleyball team concluded the IU East Tournament Saturday with matches against Arizona Christian and Indiana Tech.
IU Southeast was swept by Arizona Christian and won the first set against Indiana Tech before falling in four sets.
Arizona Christian: Loss 3-0: 26-24, 25-12, 25-19
- Izzy Stallard led the Grenadiers with eight kills and Macy Graves added seven.
- Brandy Eisenback led the Grenadiers with 14 assists and Lexie Fisher had 10 digs.
- The Grenadiers kept the first set close but dropped three of the final four points to lose the set. They had a match high 14 kills in the opening frame.
Indiana Tech: Lost 3-1: 19-25, 26-24, 25-23, 25-22
- Three Grenadiers had double-figure kills: Emilee Organ (15), Macy Graves (13) and Jennie Malone (12).
- IU Southeast held off a late Warrior run take the first set by six points.
- The Grenadiers led the second set 23-20 before surrendering six of the last seven points in the frame. They tied the third set at 23 after a Malone kill and an error but dropped the final two points of the third.
- The Grenadiers cut the fourth-set lead to 18-17 but the Warriors used a 6-1 to force match point.
- IU Southeast had six aces to Indiana Tech's two. Averee Yoder led the Grenadiers with three. Brandy Eisenback had 24 assists and Lexie Fisher had 18 digs in the loss.
IU Southeast hosts Hanover College Tuesday at 7 p.m.
